Alexis Diaz Limaco Memorial Appeal
Donations doubled through matched funding
Alexis passed away in April, 2023 aged just 50 years old. He gave the last 20 years of his life to fighting to protect animals and was instrumental in the ADI circus investigations and campaigns in Latin America, which won bans on animals in circuses. Alexis and the ADI Latin America team were also central to the large-scale circus rescues in Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, and Guatemala. Many of the lions and tigers he helped save now live at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary (ADIWS). Funds raised from this memorial appeal will:
- Complete a new tiger habitat at the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary (ADIWS), named in his memory.
- Ongoing care for the lions and tigers at the ADIWS.
- Ongoing funding of rescues, care of survivors of the wildlife and entertainment trade, working for laws to protect animals across Latin America.
Donations will be doubled!
Thanks to a generous match funding pledge, donations up to £12,000 will be doubled. Give £10 today and it becomes £20 for the animals.
